A powerful, emotional and captivating tragicomedy, “The Orphans” brings to the stage the story of three people shaped by loneliness, absence and the deep human need to be loved. An unexpected encounter confronts them with secrets, wounds and truths they have kept hidden.
Moving between dark humour, tension and deeply touching moments, the play constantly shifts from laughter to pain, raising questions about family, abandonment, love, and the human need to have someone we can call “ours”.
“The Orphans” brings together outstanding actors from Kosovo and Albania in an intense, direct and highly energetic performance. A brilliant tragicomedy that makes you laugh, unsettles you and, above all, invites you to reflect.
